Ireland's North West Tourism Destination

Cutting Back on Travel

As the country was advised that the average household may be poorer by as much as £1000, this week, annual holidays may be the very last thing on most minds. It has also been revealed that more and more people are being forced to approach organisations that have a Debt Advisory Centre, as they struggle to make ends meet. As so many Brits are struggling this year, here is one holiday idea that may be more realistic.

There is a way you can still go abroad, but enjoy the same language and level of service as you are familiar with back in the UK - in fact, if anything, it would be better. That place is The Emerald Isle.

With very reasonable ways in which to get to Ireland: be this via air or sea, it need not cost the earth to take a break in 2011. In actual fact, you can even secure some truly excellent prices on flights from most UK airports and out if the main season, you will find far better prices on the ferries.

Once you get there, why not book into a reasonable and rustic B and B. Or perhaps a secluded cottage somewhere: one that holds more than 6 people, and that way you can split the price between more heads.

There are numerous great day trips to be enjoyed in this beautiful country: the capital, Dublin, has to be included on your itinerary. Other gorgeous cities to include are Cork, Waterford and Limerick. Then, of course, you have the stunning scenery that is likely to etch itself onto your memory for the rest of your life.
