Dromod

Dromod is a quaint well maintained village with a strong community atmosphere. There is a Bog Oak water feature in the centre of the village made by a local craftsman from a piece of bog oak originally found nearby. The main attraction is the village is The Cavan & Leitrim Railway Museum. There are also many fine pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Loughs Bofin and Boderg and Kilglass Lake in the area are well known wildfowl sanctuaries and Derrycarne Wood located 3.5km to the north of Dromod is popular for nice walks.
