Ballyhaise

Ballyhaise is a lovely village located on the banks of the Annalee River. It has many interesting historical features such as the bridge over the river on the outskirts of the village which is about 300 years old. Also Ballyhaise House, which is used as an agricultural college, was built in the early 1700s. A nice park is located opposite the college, along the banks of the River Annalee. There is good game Angling on the River Annalee and a permit is required. There is also excellent fishing at Deredis near Butlersbridge. The season lasts from March to September and permits can be obtained at Donohoe's Bar, Ballyhaise t: +353 (0)49 433 8142.
