Butlersbridge

Butlersbridge is a pretty village situated on the Annalee River only 5km north of Cavan town on the N3 route. Annagh lake close to the village offers wonderful fly-fishing and swimming. Cavan Equestrian Centre and Cavan Golf Club are close by as are the popular destination hotels of The Radisson Blu Farnham Estate and the Slieve Russell Hotel and Championship Golf Course.

The local pubs are well known for their great food and entertainment on weekends. The Derragarra Inn is worth a stop in for a drink or bite to eat and to relax in amongst their displays of various agricultural and domestic artefacts.

The Catholic Church in the village was designed in the early 1860s by the famous Cavan architect William Hague Junior.
